World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," centred on how falling launch costs could bring space within reach of more countries and organisations. Google celebrated the week with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit joined events tied to the week.

The European Space Agency partnered with Pokemon GO to offer a special Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also took part in the event. World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, observed across more than 90 countries.
