Russia claims that its two-seat Su-57 jet is set to feature onboard combat AI. Russia named this new twin-seat model the Su-57D. Military leaders developed the plane to challenge Western fifth-generation fighters. Nonetheless, the Russian fleet of Su-57 jets is still limited.

At the same time, a small European country currently flies twice as many fifth-generation fighters as Russia. The disparity in stealth jets exists despite Russian intentions to incorporate combat AI capabilities to the Su-57D. Simple Flying and MiGFlug detailed the limited inventory together with the planned artificial intelligence features.
