The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl event after 75 years. The league is ending the actual game, but star players will continue to be recognized. Players will continue to be named as Pro Bowlers to earn their annual honors.
Player honors will stay in place despite the cancellation of the event. However, alternate players will no longer be recognized by the league. The ruling concludes the 75 year history of the yearly event, but top players will still receive their official Pro Bowl honors each season.
