Tadej Pogačar grabbed the victory in Stage 19 on July 24. The Slovenian rider pushed the pace on Alpe d'Huez and ended up far ahead. Only Richard Carapaz gave chase closely. Pogačar's group dealt with unwell teammates earlier in the stage but he remained fit. His lead widened on the last climbs. Two days prior, Carapaz picked up Stage 18 just seconds back.
