Florida's Department of Transportation has confirmed planned road closures this weekend affecting I-95, I-395, and SR 836 in Miami. Drivers should expect detours across the impacted stretches of road.
Separately, a morning crash closed the entire roadway of I-95 South near the Chatham County Welcome Center in Georgia, triggering lengthy traffic jams close to the Georgia-South Carolina state line. A second crash took out two left lanes on I-95 North near 45th Street in West Palm Beach, compounding Friday's traffic problems on the busy interstate corridor.
