Ed Husic, Australia’s Minister for Industry and Science, lamented Labour’s inner culture after his proposal to allow a debate on recognising Gaza did not pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his remark at a conference as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unperturbed by criticism, stating reporters: "put me in a ice box, I don't care at all."
The dispute followed unsuccessful tries to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.
