Sami Zayn beats CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Sami Zayn claimed the Undisputed WWE Championship after defeating CM Punk. That result was settled on the September 11 Friday Night SmackDown in Mexico City. The show ended in a frantic final match as the night's finale. WWE posted an extended highlight clip to their site. Bleacher Report gave match ratings, live grades, and crowd responses from the live crowd. Fox News also reported the title change.

Zayn left with the title following the match with the belt in hand. The SmackDown main event finished with Zayn celebrating the win in the ring. No other match details came out at that time. That marked the September 11 edition of the show.
