Chase Elliott ran into the wall on Sunday at the Brickyard 400. He finished in 26th place. The vehicle took a hard hit but Elliott claimed the damage remained minor. Later, Alex Bowman announced he will leave the sport after 2027. Bowman’s exit opens a spot that may go to Conner Zilisch in 2028. Elliott solely spoke about Bowman post crash, without discussing driver reshuffle.
