Members of Parliament have advocated reforming the BBC's funding model. They suggest lowering costs and broadening financial support to include areas beyond television. MPs also propose scrapping the BBC's charter review and stopping the broadcaster from undercutting commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to address the BBC's funding issues as it faces a key turning point. The recommendations come amid persistent talks about the broadcaster's long-term strategy.
